A corrupt company, by the name of ShinRa is draining the energy out of the (nameless) planet and conducting expiriments on living things. Enviromental and social callamities, such as the pollution of the air and seas, overpopulation, high drug rate and treating women like objects. A mercenary and a rough and tough organization by the name of Avalanche must put an end to ShinRa, but a couple of ShinRa victims might be causing a bigger threat. One of the ShinRa victims is an alien that crash-landed on the planet and killed an ancient race. The other ShinRa victim is a man in a trench coat that wants to rule the world and summon the doomsday meteorite.
Sometime in the future, a corrupt organization called ShinRa has the entire world believing that it's the only source of good. The entire world that is, except for AVALANCHE, a group of ordinary people brought together to stop the evil ShinRa in its tracks. When Tifa Lockhart gets her childhood friend Cloud to help enlist in AVALANCHE, the group begins to blossom. Consisting of an ex-soldier, a single father, a bartender, a flower girl, a ShinRa experiment, an astronaut, a kleptomaniac, a psychic cat and an ex-turk, AVALANCHE's objectives are turned when the president of ShinRa Inc. is slaughtered by Sephiroth, a First Class Soldier. AVALANCHE then realizes that, using Cloud's appetite for revenge, Aerith's abilities to speak to the earth, and Tifa's strong will, they must hunt Sephiroth down and destroy him, before he can summon the end of the world.
Sometime in the future, the world is a mostly dead place as a result of the Shinra Corporation's using nuclear reactors to literally drain the life out of the planet. In the mist of the establishment of a new reactor, a group of terrorists called Avalanche get the assistance of a mercenary named Cloud, a former soldier of Shinra's army, to help them sabotage reactors. Soon, however, what everyone thought was a simple series of sabotage missions becomes a race to save the planet from Sephiroth. Sephiroth was the greatest fighter ever to work for the Shinra army, but diappeared under mysterious circumstances and was declared dead. Now he has returned, and wants to kill anyone possible as a "punishment" for the fact he was genetically engineered and has no true right to be alive natrually. As Sephiroth's murderous rampage continues, Cloud must not only prevent the downfall of man, but also come to terms with his own humantiy.
A small band of eco-freedom fighters battle against the planet-exploiting Shinra Corporation, only to be swept away in an epic struggle against the artificially created superhuman warrior, Sephiroth. Can Cloud, the leader of this group of heroes, save the planet, even though he doesn't even exist?
The ShinRa Corporation, a corrupt corporate empire, keeps an iron grip on the Planets people with its monopoly on all aspects of life. By draining the life-giving energy of the Planet and distributing it as a cheap source of electricity, the ShinRa not only fatten their wallets, but are destroying the Planet as well. Because of this, a small rebel group known as Avalanche has taken it upon themselves to rise up against the ShinRa, and thwart their destructive plan. But a long-thought-to-be-dead ShinRa General now plots the destruction of both the ShinRa and the Planet by summoning the ultimate black magic, Meteor. In the face of adversity, Avalanche must now fight for the future of the Planet, all of humanity, and for their very own lives.
